On a soggy winters day Jess Williams and I decided to create a ravishing Spring Tea Party at the lovely rustic cottage at Foxhall resort.
The cottage is nestled in the deep woods at the top of a long winding hill, enchanting. Once inside its modern but rustic chic is plain to see.
Each cottage on the property is available for rent for families of couples marrying at Foxhall.
We set up a Tea party featuring my favorite Crown Derby Tea pot.Chubby and gold embossed it features posies of flowers and and gold
embossed vines climbing around. From the town of Derby in the midlands of England this factory is well known by Royalty and
commoners alike for its quality and style.
I partnered it with all my special spring green tea cups and plates. Some lighter some deep. A knock out combination. The pedestal stand in lovely blue green is a
special favorite of mine and never fails to grab attention on a table for any event. We laid the table with vintage hand
embroidered linens that I carry in my inventory but which sadly get rarely used.I feel people think they are too beautiful to use. But let me tell you I have
yet to come across a stain that I could not remove!!! these may look delicate but they have a heart of steel.
We next decided to create a riot of colors using Tea cups and saucers. Hundreds stretching out as long as the table would allow!! This was a look I
had been excited to try after seeing it used for a Gourmet Coffee Station, Yes please! It not only has the wow factor but is such a joy to use.Your guests will truly
appreciate a cup of something before they head home after your special day.
