I am often asked,”dont you have problems with breakage” Well No I do not, this is down to my system which I feel helps everyone to take care of my china whilst enjoying them.To explain: when a pieces needs to be packed for an event I place it in one of the styrofoam coolers. Then place a separator on top and add another until the box is full. Each box has an information sheet attached that shows how a venue/caterer should repack after an event. This shows pictures as well as written directions. The pieces are then delivered to the venue. I speak to whomever will be handling the pieces and we go over whats needed. Basically rinse and repack and I will pick up and wash !
Now the fun starts! I get home and unload often thousands of pieces. I then soak, wash, rinse and dry each piece by hand! Joy! The boxes are sanitized as are the separators. Each piece of china must be washed by hand in order to preserve the gilding. I am sure that you have seen pieces that are faded or sections have worn off that usually from an abrasive cleaner in a dish washer. Although this can often happen with an abrasive hand wash also. I air dry and then finish by polishing with a micro fibre cloth for that polished look.
Then the process begins again. I use perpetrators first and then repack ready for next fun event. You need not fear, each piece is safe and sound, safe as a human heart!!!
